A Norfolk charity has received more than £1,000 from collections made by supermarkets and centres across the county last month.

Nine collections were made in aid of The Norfolk and Norwich Association for the Blind (NNAB) which totalled at £1635.73.

The amounts raised in March, without deductions were:

Morrisons Wymondham raised £204.43

Morrisons Diss raised £244.28

Budgens Poringland raised £151.10

Tesco Harford Bridge raised £334.13

Roys Magdalen Street raised £95.61

B&Q Norwich raised £133.81

Co-op Long Stratton raised £37.06

Notcutts Garden Centre raised £328.15

B&Q Boundary Road Norwich raised £107.16

NNAB is one of Norfolk's oldest charities and its mission is to help the county's 20,000 people with poor sight remain independent and confident.

Meanwhile, a street collection that took place on Saturday, March 31 in Hoveton raised £1125.89 for the RNLI.
