A Norfolk scout group has raised money for a guide dog charity with the help of Father Christmas.

It is the second cheque presentation the 1st Horsford and St Faiths Scout Group has carried out following the help of the bearded man on his annual tour of the village in December.

A collection for three different charities in total was made, including most recently Guide Dogs - a charity which provides mobility for people who are blind and partially sighted.

The beaver section of the scout group welcomed Robert and his guide dog Santo to a recent meeting and using modern technology he showed the group how much he could see before answering questions about Santo.

The beavers enjoyed being able to individually meet and make a fuss of Santo - who also seemed to enjoy his evening.

Philip Hunt, of Guide Dogs, also attended and accepted a cheque for £160, presented by the oldest beaver.

Mr Hunt explained what the costs were in training guide dogs and how every donation was so vital to the organisation.

Earlier in the year the scout group also presented Wing and a Prayer, a wild bird and owl rehabilitation centre based in Stratton Strawless, with a cheque for £160.
