Proving that swimming is more than just splashing around, 75 children from schools across the county took part in a festival celebrating the activity.
Aquasplash, organised by Active Norfolk, happened at the UEA Sportspark in Norwich yesterday.
The children participated in water polo and relay races and also learnt about water safety.
Ellen Vanlint from Active Norfolk said: 'It was a really good day and it gave the children a chance to do something new that they have not done before.'
The idea behind Aquasplash is to allow participants to demonstrate their skills as individuals and also enjoy working as part of a team.
Norfolk athlete Paul Evans, presented certificates and medals to those who took part. Mr Evans is now sports project officer with Active Norfolk.
Active Norfolk is a partnership organisation hosted by Norfolk County Council and funded by a number of partners, including Norfolk Local Authorities and Sport England.
