You may not win the lottery tonight, but don't throw away your ticket just yet.

Because Norwich's Sportspark is celebrating its 10th birthday by giving discounts to people with lottery tickets.

The one-off promotion is aimed at giving something back to the National Lottery, which has ploughed millions into developing the Sportspark's facilities over the past decade.

Between Sunday, February 13, and Friday, February 18, any customer who brings in their lottery tickets for the Lotto draw which takes place on Saturday, February 12, will receive a discount to the value of their ticket, up to the value of 10.

Keith Nicholls, director of the Sportspark, said: 'This promotion not only supports the National Lottery, without whose grant we would not be here, but it also gives something back to our local community who have supported us over the last 10 years.'

Over the past decade the University of East Anglia-based facility has welcomed more than 10m visitors.

A major boost was when it secured a 14.6m Lottery grant, which was the largest ever made for a community sports facility.

A further 3m was funded by the University of East Anglia, as well as local organisations and individuals.

The not-for-profit organisation operates without any subsidies and reinvests profits in extending facilities and services.

It is open to the whole community, not just students, and since opening it has invested 8m in another indoor arena, floodlit tennis and netball courts, a five-a-side Soccerpark and three additional seven-a-side 3G pitches. A fully equipped Olympic Gymnastics Centre is currently being built and is due to open in September.

The promotion only applies to the Lotto draw on Saturday, February 12. Tickets for other draws on that date will not be able to be used for this promotion.
