People young and old got into the fundraising spirit as they kick-started events in aid of Sport Relief.
The flagship Sainsbury's Sport Relief Miles, which will take place in 16 cities across the UK including Norwich, may not be held until tomorrow but scores of events have already been held in and around the city to get the fundraising under way.
As part of the activities, youngsters dressed as their sporting heroes, die-hard Norwich City fans swallowed their pride and donned Ipswich Town shirts and a supermarket worker cycled his way around the county within a day.
And several schools, including the Hewett School in Cecil Road, Norwich High School for Girls and Recreation Road Infant School, organised their own Sport Relief Miles.
David Nevard, charity and fundraising coordinator at the Hewett School, said: 'It's been excellent and the whole school came together.
'We had runners, walkers, cyclists and some who even danced the mile with trumpets and sombreros and it looks like we've raised lots of money.'

Helping to do their bit for the cause, children at Horsford Infant School joined in a range of fun activities from mini aerobics to the crazy new activity speed stacking and mini Formula 1 racing drivers and tennis stars could be seen heading to Kinsale Infant School, Hellesdon, as youngsters dressed up as their sporting favourites.
Louise Robinson, head of Kinsale Infant School, said: 'We've had some very imaginative costumes and the children have been extremely enthusiastic. It reinforces the importance of the day, why we raise money and emphasises sport and well being.'
Meanwhile, Canaries fans Denise Saadvandi, Ellen Ellwood, Jill Bazire and Christine Deeley, who all work for Norfolk County Council's Adult Education at Wensum Lodge, wore Ipswich Town shirts and ultra distance runner Jackson Williams completed his 120-mile barefoot run from Norwich to London.
Matt Beckley, a grocery online driver for Sainsbury's Longwater, also rose to the challenge by cycling 200 miles between all 10 Sainsbury's stores in Norfolk within 14 hours.
More than 2,000 people will take part in Norwich's Sport Relief Mile tomorrow, including former City star Darren Huckerby, Paralympian Danny Crates and darts legend Bobby George.
Several Norwich Liberal Democrats councillors and Norwich North MP Chloe Smith will also take part.
During the day, jugglers, stilt-walkers and music makers will entertain crowds and people will have the chance to help set a new hula hooping world record.
Other planned events include an 'ice mile' which will take place this evening from 5.30pm at Planet Ice, near Asda in Hellesdon, and Cristal Seas Scuba Club who will attempt to dive a mile at the Hewett School pool tomorrow.
