Inspectors have given a glowing report to a "good, well led and improving" Spixworth school.
Woodland View Junior, in Ivy Road, got an overall "good" grade from Ofsted after being inspected on April 26 and 27.
The school, which is led by headteacher James Mulvany and has 190 pupils aged from seven to 11, was lauded for having some "outstanding elements of its work".
In their report, the inspectors said: "It is a testament to the headteacher's strengths and the deputy's effective support that several initiatives have contributed to improved standards in spite of school reorganisation and changes to staffing."
