Snow in Norwich causes travel disruption

Traffic has returned to normal in Norwich following heavy snow fall this morning.
First have confirmed that their 21 and 22 routes have returned following delays and diversions earlier today.
Norwich Airport has reopened after closing for a few hours due the weather. FlyBe flights to and from Edinburgh were affected.
Norwich Police are urged motorists to drive carefully after a number of accidents were reported to them this morning. The force tweeted: 'Motorists are urged to drive with extra care and caution due to weather conditions as a number of accidents have been reported.'
As temperatures drop, Norwich City Council is taking emergency action to ensure no one sleeping rough in Norwich is left out in the cold.
Severe Weather Emergency Protocol, activated when a temperature of zero degrees Celsius or lower is forecast for three consecutive nights, enables anyone sleeping rough in Norwich to access emergency accommodation and support.
Temporary camp bed areas are set up within the communal spaces of supported housing projects to increase provision, but individuals must be willing to receive assistance.

Gail Harris, Norwich City Council's deputy leader and cabinet member for council housing, said: 'We urge anyone requiring immediate assistance with finding emergency accommodation to contact the council on 0344 980 33 33. This number also provides out of hours support.'
A Met Office yellow weather warning for wind an ice remains in place for Norfolk with snow forecast for Norwich tomorrow.
