Emergency services were called to a “serious” incident at Gorleston beach this morning involving inflatable play equipment.
The East of England Ambulance service received more than a dozen calls just after 11am.
Several ambulance teams were dispatched and the young patient was taken to the James Paget Hospital “in a serious medical condition”.
At the beach a police cordon is in place around the fencing that surrounds the ‘Bounce About’ children’s area. No one is being permitted to use any of the facilities.
The rest of the beach remains open to members of the public and none of the roads in the surrounding area are closed.
Reports on social media have said a bouncy castle exploded.
