Run Norwich 2019 will take place on Sunday, July 21 - two weeks earlier than in previous years.

This year’s event, the fourth instalment of the 10K race, attracted a record number of 7,000 entries and it is expected to sell out again when entry details are released in December.

After consultation with key stakeholders in Norwich about the best slot within the city’s calendar, and taking into account the management of team resources at race organisers Norwich City Community Sports Foundation, a move to the new date in July was universally approved.

This year’s event, which was started by Wes Hoolahan and Russell Martin, saw Nick Earl reclaim the title as men’s winner in a record time of 30:49 whilst fellow City of Norwich member Dani Nimmock won the women’s race in 35:03 (also a new record).

The race, which starts on Gentleman’s Walk, traditionally passes some of the city’s most iconic landmarks including Norwich Castle, The Forum, Norwich Cathedral and Norwich City FC. All race roads are closed to traffic whilst it is in progress.
