Fans of singing star Ronan Parke are in for a treat as Norfolk's homegrown talent returns to his roots for his first local performance.

The 12-year-old who was runner up in this year's Britain's Got Talent, will be at Potters Leisure Resort in Hopton-on-Sea in October.

He will perform for two nights on October 22 and 23.

Ronan's mum, Maggie, from Poringland, said: 'Ronan is very excited about the gig, it's his first local one and he is looking forward to it. Quite a few friends will be going to watch him. He would love to sing more in Norfolk. He went to the Norfolk Show but that was as a guest and not to sing – he'd like to do more stuff in Norfolk.'

Ronan's debut album is due to be released in mid October.

Since he shot to fame, Ronan has toured the country singing and making guest appearances.

Mrs Parke said: 'He has been to Manchester, Blackpool and Birmingham recently and he's going to perform in Southampton and Wembley.

'He's really enjoying it. It's such an exciting opportunity for him, words can't describe it. He is thankful for all the support; he doesn't take it for granted.'

Ronan is not the only Britain's Got Talent star to visit the coastal venue.

Winner Jai McDowell will be at the leisure resort on October 9 and Aiden Davis will be performing during the Summer Showbreaks on Mondays including August 8, 15 and 22.

Potters chairman Brian Potter said: 'We endeavour to book a wide variety of acts throughout the year to keep our guests thoroughly entertained. The Britain's Got Talent acts will be wowing audiences throughout summer and autumn with an opportunity to meet the acts themselves after the show.'
