The closure of Hellesdon Hall Road is devastating for the small traders located at Hellesdon Barns — 18 weeks to create an access point for the Wickes store seems an excessive amount of time.

During the Second World War, whole bomber airfields were built in three months. Why are small businesses seemingly disregarded in these sort of situations?

Surely the developers should have to put in place a scheme of compensation to the traders to alleviate the loss of trade these people will suffer.
