A band which fuses rock riffs and drum and bass beats is making a headline appearance at the Norfolk Spectacular.
The Qemists will join nineties rockers Terrovision who have already been confirmed for the indie rock stage of the two-day camping festival, which runs from Saturday, September 3, to Sunday, September 4.
Meanwhile, the urban stage will feature R&B acts Professor Green, Devlin, Alexandra Burke, Chipmunk, Example, Chase and Status Live and Eliza Doolittle on the Saturday.
Whilst Tinie Tempah, Taio Cruz, Tinchy Stryder, N-Dubz, Maverick Sabre and Yasmin will take to the stage on the Sunday.
Concert spokesman Dion Clements said: “That we are able to have an indie rock stage at the Norfolk Spectacular is amazing and brings this festival into line with some of the biggest music events in the UK.
“With the addition of the indie rock stage to the Urban stage, we’re catering for an even bigger range of music tastes, approximately doubling the size of the event.
“All the acts for the newly announced stage will be confirmed and announced over the coming weeks. We expect to announce around an additional 20 bands”
The Qemists formed in the late nineties when the drummer, bassist and guitarist of the rock band developed a strong interest in drum and bass, resulting in a fusion of the two sounds.
Their first single release, Stompbox, appeared on the movie soundtrack for Jumper and in numerous video games.
Since then, they have supported rock band Enter Shikari on their World Tour in 2009, as well as hosting their own UK tour.
Tickets cost £45 per day for the R&B event. Tickets will be sold separately for the indie rock stage at £17.50 per ticket (including booking) and are only available from the UEA box office.
Camping tickets cost £110 for three nights camping and are only available at www.ticketeast.co.uk.
Disabled tickets are only available at www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
