Yes – their back again – the UK's big top Circus of Laughter returns to the Hippodrome this Easter with an all new show which does exactly what it says on the tin (well on the posters anyway). Now in it's 16th year, the aim of the hugely popular show — fronted as ever by international comedy award winners Clive Webb and Danny Adams — is to 'Keep Britain Laughing'. The father and son team are this year joined by Cousin Timoni and the Mick Potts 'Clownforce' Band to create the usual side-splitting humour with all the fun, magic and excitement of the circus, guaranteed to make the whole family roar with laughter, not just kids, mum and dad will be unable to resist too. In addition to the slapstick, comedy, expect lots of Easter surprises and world famous international artists. Plus the stunning Circus Hilarious Dancers. Chris & Pui — the hottest double act on children's TV — return by huge popular demand. They invite their young audience to join them for an afternoon of fun, songs and games. Children are encouraged to bring along their favourite toy (a teddy bear, doll or figure) with a clear warning to parents that it's their responsibility to hang on to them - their children and their toys! Over the course of the show, Chris & Pui discover musical instruments, play joining-in games, sing songs and bring some of their on-screen antics to the stage.

THE GRUFFALO'S CHILD

A hugely-popular stage version of a classic children's tale heads to Norwich Theatre Royal this Easter.The Gruffalo's Child takes to the stage on April 23-24 following hot on the heels of a very successful West End run and touring run for The Gruffalo. It follows the story of the Gruffalo's daughter who sets off into the big woods on a wet and windy night to try and find the Big Bad Mouse. During her journey, she encounters a snake, owl and fox who tell her how to find it but will she track down the creature and does it actually exist? The show, which is packed with excitement and music, is being presented by the Tall Stories Theatre Company who brought other hugely-successful children's shows to Norwich including Room On The Broom. John Bultitude, of Norwich Theatre Royal, said: 'This magical production is aimed at all ages and will be perfect family entertainment for the Easter period. As the producers say, all adults must be accompanied to the performance by a responsible child.'

Norfolk Youth Music Theatre perform the schools edition of the blockbuster musical by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Sch�nberg based on the Novel by Victor Hugo. Young aspiring actors and actresses of the NYMT tell the epic story of struggle against adversity in 19th century France. Petty thief Jean Valjean is released from his 19-year term and not only becomes an honest man, but the mayor of a prosperous town and a loving adoptive father - violating his parole and incurring the wrath of the relentless Inspector Javert in the process. Only years later, after Valjean proves his mettle during a bloody student uprising and saves the life of a young man hopelessly in love with Valjean's adopted daughter, does the ex-convict finally feel fully redeemed.
