Power tools stolen in Mulbarton

Police are warning residents in Mulbarton to secure their garages and garden sheds after two break-ins at the weekend.

A number of power tools, including two bench grinders, an angle grinder, saws, sanders, an electric saw and a wood compressor, were stolen from a garage at the rear of a property in Cuckoofield Lane.

A shed in the same road was also broken in to and four electric saws were taken. It is believed the thieves made off in a vehicle due to the size of the items taken.

Sgt Steve King, of Hethersett and Mulbarton Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) said: 'I would urge residents to check their sheds and garages are secure, and to be vigilant. If anyone sees anyone or any vehicles acting suspiciously then please report it to the police.'

Anyone with information should contact Hethersett and Mulbarton SNT on 0845 456 4567.
