Election candidate Clive Lewis was joined for a day of campaigning by an "anti-Brexit hero" as he rallied the Remain vote in Norwich South.

Gina Miller, the businesswoman who brought a successful court case against the government forcing a vote on starting the Brexit process, joined Mr Lewis as he visited voters ahead of polling day.

Mrs Miller launched the Best for Britain crowd-funded campaign at the beginning of the election to promote tactical voting in favour of candidates who are anti-Brexit.

She said: “We have chosen our 50 champions, those people who have fought Brexit with both actions and words, and Clive is most certainly one of them. He has proved to be an excellent MP and I hope he will be returned.”

Mr Lewis added: “Brexit has not been a huge issue on the doorstep at this election – but obviously it remains a massive issue for Britain going forward. My views are very well known on the subject and I am delighted to have Gina here. She is an anti-Brexit hero and a real inspiration.”
