Yanis Varoufakis - the former Greek finance minister - will reveal the full story of his attempt to re-negotiate his country’s relationship with the European Union at an event in Norwich.

The outspoken politician will be in the city promoting his memoir, Adults in The Room, in May.

He will take questions during the audience Q&A after “blowing the lid” on what goes on behind the scenes in Europe’s corridors of power.

Mr Varoufakis taught economics at the University of East Anglia in the late 1980s before his rise through the political ranks to finance minister in Greece after the victory of the far-left Syriza party.

The event will take place on Thursday, May 4 2017 at 7.30pm at the Thomas Paine Study Centre Lecture Theatre at the University of East Anglia

Tickets cost £30 for a standard ticket and £22 for a student ticket and both include a copy of his book.
