Vehicles have been rescued from impassable roads as drifting snow continues to cause problems for drivers in Norfolk and Suffolk.
The weather front from Siberia has caused significant snow fall across the region and, combined with freezing temperatures, is still causing travel chaos today with reports of crashes and snowdrifts blocking roads across the region.
A Norfolk police spokesman said there are reports of three to four feet snow drifts on many roads across the county.

Some of the worst problems have been on the A140 between Norwich and Diss. It has been closed between Pulham and Long Stratton for most of the day due to large snowdrifts and jackknifed lorries have blocked the road at various places including Dunston.
Police are warning people to stay away from the A149 at Worstead as there are severe snowdrifts and approximately 12 lorries have broken down.
The A47 was closed for an hour at East Winch as a lorry was moved off the road and three lorries got stuck on the A143 at Two Mile Bottom near Thetford due to snowdrifts.
Snowdrifts are also causing problems on the A149 at Heacham, the B1105 in north Norfolk, the A143 at Scole and the A146 between Loddon and Stockton.
In the east of Norfolk the Hemsby to Caister road is blocked due to snowdrifts as is the Hemsby to Ormesby and Martham. Filby Road is virtually impassable with multiple cars stuck and in Belton, Church Lane is blocked by a snow drift between the church and Beccles Road and Beccles Road is blocked between the crossroads and the new roundabout.
There have also been reports that ambulances have been among those stuck in the snow.
Inspector Paul Rush, of Norfolk police, said: 'Please just because it's not snowing, it remains really challenging driving conditions. So please, expect the unexpected. There is drifting snow there is significant ice and at the minute we would urge people not to drive if they can avoid it. If you must drive, please, please drive to those conditions.'
Norfolk County Council said it had its gritters and ploughs out throughout the night but warned 'snow is blowing back onto roads and there are deep drifts in some areas'. It has all its 49 gritters, 80 farmers and excavators out to try and remove snow.
On public transport Sanders Coaches has said all its services are suspended, including school buses, due to drifting snow making roads impassable, and Konect are running a very limited service and no Park and Ride buses are running.
First is only serving main routes and as of services 40,41 and 30 not running. There are also delays to a lot of other services and a number of diversions are in place.
On the trains there is disruption between Diss and Norwich on the London mainline due to a 9ft snowdrift. London Liverpool Street to Norwich services will terminate and start from Ipswich until the snow has been cleared.
There are no services running between Norwich and Great Yarmouth, Sheringham and Lowestoft.
Greater Anglia has tweeted: 'Due to severe weather, services running across the whole GA network may be cancelled, delayed by up to 30 minutes or revised. Some stations after London Liverpool Street will not be served. Disruption is expected until further notice.'
The official Norfolk Constabulary account tweeted: 'Roads across the County continue to be heavily affected, if not blocked, by snowdrifts. Do not drive unless you have an emergency. Don't become an emergency yourself. #norfolkroads. Norfolk CCR.
'Stay home unless your journey is absolutely necessary so the roads are clearer for officers to reach those who need our assistance. If you have to leave your vehicle? Please ensure it's left in a safe position and doesn't cause any obstructions. #norfolkroads #drivesafe.'
