Drivers are being urged to take extra care on the county’s roads due to icy conditions.

The warning comes as the Met Office continues to have a yellow warning for ice in place for the east of England.

Officers in the south Norfolk area have reported being called to a number of crashes overnight.

The @SouthNorfPolice twitter account tweeted in the early hours of this morning: “Reports of numerous RTC’s across #SouthNorfolk tonight. The roads locally are very slippery, please drive to the conditions and leave plenty of time to stop.”
