Norfolk Police has asked for people to delay calling 101 with non-emergency incidents as it prepares for a busy Christmas Eve.
The force said it was expecting to have a busy Sunday as people head out into Norwich to celebrate the night before Christmas.
On Twitter, it asked for people to report their non-emergency incidents to 101 on Monday if they did not need to report it on Sunday evening.
It said: “Norfolk Police expects to have a busy Christmas Eve evening. If you do not need to report your non-emergency incident on 101 this evening then please report after today.”
The constabulary said people can also visit www.norfolk.police.uk to report a crime or incident online.
It comes as police made eight arrests in Norwich on Friday - which was regarded as one off the busiest nights of the year.
