A Poringland artist is hoping to branch out in her field following the announcement of her second exhibition in the city.

Sue Clyne, 47, of Norwich Road, left her job as a make-up artist on the Lancome counter in Debenhams seven years ago after her husband, Glenn Sadd, inspired her to follow her dreams to be a full-time artist.

And now she is celebrating the success of the last two years - after signing a contract with an international agent - by hosting another exhibition at the Forum in Norwich city centre.

She said: “I really have not looked back and now I am living proof to everyone that you can achieve your goals.”

Ms Clyne spent many years painting during the evenings and weekends when she was not at work, but secretly harboured ambitions to continue her passion full-time.

After a conversation with her husband, together they decided to make her dreams a reality.

Despite spending 14 years in various departments at Debenhams she made the leap and following her first exhibition at the Forum two years ago she was approached by Vermont-based Art Licensing.

And after a phone call from the managing director, she signed a contract the next day.

Ms Clyne normally paints on canvas using acrylic but has now started to work with resin to give her work a three dimensional look.

“When you are an artist you lead quite a solitary life but I still have that ambition to hit the big time.

“I am enjoying working with resin and working on art which displays nature scenes. I would love to take my work to the next level and exhibit it in more galleries.”

The new exhibition, Fantasy Reality, will take place at the Forum everyday from July 28 to August 2.
