The ambulance service was called to Norwich city centre this afternoon to treat a man believed to be suffering breathing difficulties.
Ambulance crews were called to the scene in Gentleman's Walk, opposite the entrance to the Royal Arcade at 1.47pm.
Two ambulance crews and a rapid response vehicles arrived at the scene to treat a man thought to be in his 70s.
By-standers reported two women stopping to help the man before the ambulance service arrived on the scene, both of whom were thought to be a medical professional.
The man has been taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further treatment.
