Over 1,000 was raised for Barnham Broom Primary School after the school's head teacher Keith Wright joined pupils in running 2,160 miles.
The fund raising effort was in conjunction with The Edge Health and Fitness Club within Barnham Broom Hotel, Golf and Spa, where the miles were run during November and December last year.
The overall mileage was to replicate the journey from Norwich to Lapland during the festive period and resulted in 700 being raised, with a raffle and a children's disco organised by the hotel adding 314 for a 1,021 total.
Chief operations director at Barnham Broom Hotel, Golf and Spa Amanda Mortimer, who is also a governor at the primary school, was delighted with the success of the fund raising project.
She said: 'This was our first fund raising event for the school and we are all delighted to have been involved with the local community. Plans are already being made for our next event.'
