Open Store opens up an opportunity for Norfolk’s fashion designers

Up and coming and estabilished fashion designers from across Norfolk came together to host the Open Store event at Norwich Fashion Week.

Norwich was awash with fresh, original fashion designs yesterday as the Norwich Fashion Week Open Store event highlighted the work of Norfolk fashion designers.

Seventeen designers showcased their latest designs which ranged from elegant dresses, to scarves, bags and silver jewellery.

Ethika on Timberhill had the main thrust of the designers with 13 local fashion and jewellery makers taking turns to present their designs to the fashion hungry public.

The main fashion designs were on mannequins in the shop window from designers Bee Eno, Alice Bodgener, Annette Rolston and Lizzie Wenman, Marian Williams known for her dress made with the dye of the silver birch tree at Norwich Fashion Week back in February, and City College Norwich fashion and textile graduates Chloe Kent and Leah Leveridge, both showcased designs at the launch catwalk show in The Forum earlier in the week.

Jewellery designers Alison Varley, Elizabeth Radford and Jules Fry showcased their unique collections alongside the frocks.
