A female-centred co-working space has opened its doors near Norwich.

Nourish Hub, based at Ketteringham Hall, has been designed to help women with their work/life balance by providing flexible working conditions outside a home office.

Desks can be hired for a few hours at a time or a full week, and office extras include monthly massages, pilates and yoga classes, and space for a mobile crèche.

It was started by Jackie Heffer-Cooke, director of The Orange Grove Clinic and ZenMuma in Norwich and organiser of women's networking group Nourish Networking, who felt that after nine years of home working it was 'time to get work back into an office'.

'I know what it is like to do your best work from home, but you are constantly distracted by the general domesticity. After a while it can become hugely frustrating to women who are running serious careers and setting up important businesses,' she said.
