Winners of a festive competition to find Christmas trees dotted around Norwich have been presented with their prizes.

The NORWICHRISTMAS Tree Art Trail – a Norwich City Centre Partnership project managed by Norwich Arts Centre – featured 21 individually designed Christmas trees, and people were asked to find 10 trees and collect stamps. About 1,000 completed entries were entered into the competition, and Jane Swan, 76, above centre, from Thorpe St Andrew, won the top prize of 50 vouchers from Jarrold, John Lewis, The Mall and Chapelfield, four Odeon cinema passes and a 20 Theatre Royal voucher. She received her prize at Norwich's John Lewis yesterday. Mrs Swan, who enjoyed looking at the trees with her daughter Sally and her son and daughter-in-law Michael and Nicky, said: 'I went to look at the trees after I read about the trail in the Evening News. It was very interesting, something quite different. I am very surprised and quite excited to have won.'

Other prize winners were: Sophie Lucas from Potters Bar, Karen Glencross from Easton, Stuart Carlisle from Norwich, Chloe Page from Norwich, Mary Cattermole from Hethersett, Hollie Kerrison from Norwich, and Sam Owen from Telford.
