The Writers’ Centre, Norwich (which has been based at Dragon’s Hall since 2015) will this week host the beginning of a construction phase that is part of a £1.86m project.
I was very pleased to hear/read this about the centre. This will provide a physical sign of Norwich’s City of Literature status.
As this is a place for writers (like myself) this will allow people to liaise with all that is happening/going on throughout the country.
READ MORE: New chapter for Dragon Hall as building work to begin on National Centre for WritingI can remember a former EDP/EN writer telling me that her husband had sent her/paid for a writer’s course on a Tuesday evening that took place at Norwich Writers’ Centre where they would discuss and talk about agriculture and farming.
But she never had a clue what they were talking about as they (the group) used to go for a drink in the local pub beforehand!
I look forward to May, 2018 when the building structure is to be completed by.
