A city triathlete is gearing up to take on some of the world’s best multi-sport athletes this month.

Tri-Anglia member Iain Robertson from Trowse, near Norwich, will be competing at the World Duathlon Championships in Nancy, France, next Sunday.

The event will see the Waveney District Council planner run 10km before cycling 40km and then running a further 5km.

He will be representing Great Britain in the 35 to 39 age group.

Mr Robertson, who this year won the Norwich Triathlon and is the current Eastern Region Champion for the Olympic distance triathlon, said: “I am really looking forward to competing in the world championships – the atmosphere will be amazing.”
