Norwich Tap House replacement revealed as a ‘high-end’ prosecco and wine bar

Fizz fans are in for a treat as the iconic city pub is set to be transformed into an upmarket wine and prosecco bar.
The craft beer pub, located in Redwell Street, shut its doors without warning in January and the windows were painted out.
A spokesman for the Norwich Tap House said more details of the closure would follow and plans were in place to re-open in April this year.
But since then, bosses have remained tight-lipped on the future of the pub which has 20 taps of rotating beers alongside wines, spirits and champagnes.
An advert on website Indeed has revealed that it will re-open as ‘a high-end wine, prosecco and cocktail bar’ called Panda.
They are currently recruiting for bar and waiting staff with a salary of £8 to £10 per hour depending on experience.

The advert also states they are in the final stages of refurbishing the pub and renovating a ‘beautiful new bar.’
Samantha Elliott, one of the new owners of Panda, said the new bar will be open by the end of July.
She added: “We have renovated the cellar and opened it up to the public for seating down there.
“It’s really lovely with the original features.
“We have also installed a deli for customers to enjoy platters of cheese and cured meats.”
The pub was first opened in 2012 by Patrick Fisher, his mother Elizabeth Fisher, Alan Walpole and Amy Hancock.

It was managed by Stuart Laidlaw who has also managed The Ten Bells in St Benedict’s Street.
