Residents of a city care home enjoyed being entertained with an extra special performance by City College Norwich students.
The young people studying Level 2 Performing Arts brought the theatre to Chiswick House Care Home on Thursday and presented a variety show that the residents themselves had also helped create. Course leader Leanne Fridd said: 'A few of our students met with the residents and asked them what they wanted to see and what their interests were. It was really nice because they were able to link across the years. The residents said they wanted something uplifting and something that would entertain them, and we put together a showcase that contained dances, singing and short acting sketches.'
Steven Melton, regional manager for Black Swan Care Group which runs Chiswick House, said it was a wonderful way of bringing the different generations together and in the future the care home hopes to take its residents to see the students perform at the college's Platform Theatre.
