Having been both burnt and flooded in its long history, Norwich's Lamb Inn is a pub that can claim to have stood the test of time.
More recently it underwent another significant change, only this time a £400,000 renovation that, with its rumoured ghosts, has allowed it to retain its 300-year character.
Changes to the listed old coaching inn included a contemporary outside courtyard, brand new first floor bar, renovated ground floor and a new menu.
The result has been described as 'a fusion of vintage heritage and bohemian decor'.
General manager Oliver McErlain said: 'We worked hard to transform The Lamb before we had our investment and have already established our courtyard as the chameleon place to sit in the sun or dance the night away.
'We've big plans for the rest of 2017 and moving into 2018. We had one of the best spaces in the city before… but now we are on another level.
'A huge thank you to the local support we've had and we have to mention the amazing people at Woodforde's Brewery and Redwell Brewery.'

The Lamb officially re-opened its doors on October 20 and assistant manager Dale Thompson said the changes had been well received by patrons.
'We made the bar bigger downstairs, fitted a new bar upstairs and gave the pub a more upmarket, neater look. The outside courtyard has seen a massive improvement and the feedback we've received so far has been really positive.'
The investment, which has created 20 new jobs, was celebrated at a VIP affair on October 26 which was attended by the Lord Mayor of Norwich David Fulman.
'We sent out about 500 invites to guests requesting them to join us at the VIP event,' said Mr Thompson.
Local band The Foreign Locals, fresh from the main stage at the Sundown festival, provided the entertainment while menu and craft beer tasters were also circulating giving those in attendance a look at what is to come.
