The Norwich branch of the Royal Air Forces Association has announced that more than £10,000 was donated to their welfare fund last year.

Donations from people in Norwich and Norfolk boosted the fund to £10,500 with the money being used to help members of the RAF suffering physically and mentally from past conflicts.

Wings Appeal Officer of Norwich Branch, RAF Association, said: “In the view of the economic situation of the moment we are so grateful for the help and generosity of the public. Thank you.”
