A pensioner died at his home after choking on his lunch, an inquest heard yesterday.
Roger Ramsay, of Brettingham Avenue, Cringleford, died on Sunday.
An inquest into the death was opened by Norfolk coroner William Armstrong at the Assembly Rooms, Norwich.
He said an initial post-mortem examination had found the cause of death was aspiration but the 73-year-old also had other underlying medical issues.
An official cause of death has not been established. Mr Armstrong added: 'He had been having lunch with his daughter and her husband when he appeared to choke on some food and suffered cardiac arrest.'
