New art exhibition at Norwich Castle

A new art exhibition exploring the changes to British society during the two world wars is being unveiled at the Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery.

The exhibit, entitled Restless Times: Art in Britain 1914 -1945, will showcase 120 works from national, regional and private collections, as well as contemporary pieces commissioned especially for the event.

The display focuses on the period between 1914 and 1945 when Britain received an influx of new European artists during the devastation caused by the world wars.

Opening on Saturday February 19 and finishing on Monday April 25, the display will feature artists such as David Bomberg, Cyril Power, Evelyn Dunbar and Henry Moore.

A full programme of events and activities will accompany the event.

Tickets, for special exhibitions only, cost between £2.40 and £3.30.
