Last Wine Bars Ltd owns The Last Wine Bar in St George's Street, Blue Joanna Bar and Kitchen in Unthank Road and E-Street Smokehouse in Exchange Street.

The holding company was set up to help accommodate the lease on the Playhouse Bar, which was run by the company for 18 years until the lease expired two years ago and the theatre decided not to renew it.

The loss of the lease damaged the holding company and Ecky Limon, one of the directors of Last Wine Bars Ltd, has now bought Blue Joanna Bar and Kitchen.

Mr Limon and the directors also own the freehold to The King's Head in Brooke, which has announced it is closing in the new year.

The Last Wine Bar and the E-Street Smokehouse will remain open as usual under the new agreement.
