If you were forced to decide between your first Norwich match or your first sleepover, which would you choose?
This was the dilemma seven-year-old Canaries fan Sophie Hall from South Wales faced after receiving an invite to a friend's party.
The party clashed with plans she had with her dad and twin brother Monty to attend Norwich's upcoming away game against Bristol on Saturday, January 13.
After much deliberation, she chose the sleepover.
Upon making the decision, her dad, Michael Hall, asked her to write a letter to the club, to be enclosed with her returned ticket, explaining why she no longer needed it.
She wrote: 'Dear Ticket team, sorry I am sending my Bristol away game ticket back, I have been invited to my best friend's birthday party.
'Please don't cancel my twin brother and dad's tickets as my brother is very excited for his first away game. I hope to come to my first game soon. Good luck, Love Sophie Hall.'
Emma Wickham, a Customer Service Representative, received the letter and thought it was so sweet she had to reply.
A letter was sent back to Sophie, along with gifts for her and Monty.
It read: 'Dear Sophie, thank you for your letter. I am sorry to hear you are unable to attend your first game against Bristol, but I hope you enjoy your friend's party.
'I have cancelled your ticket as you requested, and may I say it was very nice to receive your handwritten letter and would like to compliment you on your very neat handwriting.
'As I was so impressed I have sent you and your twin brother a small gift, I hope you like them.'
Family friend, Dan Tyte, shared the club's response on Twitter to highlight the kind gesture. The post has garnered thousands of likes and hundreds of retweets.
Mr Hall, originally from Snailwell near Newmarket, says he can't believe the response.
He said: 'I thought the tweet would get some interest, but I can't believe how much reaction it's received.
'Sophie and her brother turned seven in December and the tickets were a birthday gift. Sophie was then invited to a party and became torn. She hadn't been allowed to go to a sleepover before, so ultimately picked the party.
'Her brother and I are still going to the match. It's a long trip to Norwich, so we can't attend many games, but we'll definitely be taking Sophie to Carrow Road soon.'
He added: 'Sophie never expected to get a response, she's very pleased with her letter and we're grateful someone cared enough to write back. They really went the extra mile.'
