Families joined together this morning as a buggy push was held in a city park to raise funds for premature babies.

The inaugural fundraiser was organised by mum-of-two Elle Emanuel in aid of special care baby charity Bliss.

Buggies were decorated with balloons while about 20 mums and dads donned charity T-shirts as they pushed their youngsters around a half mile route around Eaton Park in South Park Avenue.

Mrs Emanuel, 33, from Newton Flotman, who took part in the event with 18 month old daughter Mia and four-year-old son Hayden, said: 'For the first one, I was pleased with how it went and the weather was sunny.

'A lot of us went to the park and the children played afterwards. I hope to organise a similar event again.'

Bliss provides vital support and care to premature and sick babies across the UK.

One in every nine babies in the UK is born premature or sick, totalling more than 80,000 babies every year.
