Crimes against lycra, the overuse of Excel and not providing biscuits at meetings.
These were just some of the offences city bigwigs were arrested for in aid of a worthy cause.
The charity’s first ever jail and bail event in Norwich raised over £15,000 for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH).
Caroline Jarrold, director of Jarrold and Son Ltd and Phil Birch, regional manager of Wilkinsons, were among seven arrested by PC Jim Squires from Norfolk Police.
The city business leaders appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court where they were found guilty and asked to raise £999 bail - money that will be donated to EACH.
Sophie Mayes, EACH Norfolk Corporate Fundraiser, explained: “These ‘criminals’ are brushing with the law all in aid of a good cause and we’re delighted they agreed to back this novel fundraising idea.”
