Top acts from across the UK descend on Norwich this weekend for a spectacular music event.

But while a lot of the attention at the Norfolk Spectactular will be on the main stage, where the likes of Alexandra Burke, N-Dubz, Tinie Tempah and Taio Cruz will be performing, there's a wealth of musical talent at the Arena Stage too – and among them will be Norwich bands The Kabeedies, Dead Red and The Dirty Tricks.

The Kabeedies drummer Fab Bell said: 'We've been a little quiet on the gigging front as we are writing and recording our second album at the Mill Studio in Norfolk, which will be released late January 2012, so taking a break to play the Norfolk Spectacular on Saturday will give us a chance to cut loose a little and have some fun.

'The main stage line up is pretty nuts and playing with acts like Tinie Tempah , N-Dubz and Chase and Status is frankly a tad bizarre. I guess we are a little more at home on the Arena Stage with Young Knives, Chapel Club and our friends These Ghosts, The Cads, Foreign Office and Dutch Uncles, who we've not shared a stage with since an acoustic gig in a Manchester youth hostel many moons ago.'

The Kabeedies are expected to perform on the stage just after 5pm on Saturday. Also on the stage that day will be John Fisher, Crake and Dananananaykroyd.

On the Sunday, the Arena Stage hosts Dove & Boweevil, Cutback, The Pocket Godzillas, The Burning Crows, Dead Red, The Dirty Tricks, Big Num, Slaves To Gravity, The Qemists, Ginger Wildheart & Friends and Terrorvision.

Dead Red singer Nikki Wilcockson said: 'We can't wait. It's such a privilege to be playing on stage with Terrorvision and Ginger Wildheart & Friends.

'It's also a great opportunity for us to be heard in front of such a large crowd. This should be a great event.'

Paul Sinclair, drummer with The Dirty Tricks, said: 'It's great to share the bill with such a variety of acts and even better to share a stage with Terrorvision and Ginger Wildheart & Friends who we can't wait to see.'

More than 30,000 people are expected to descend on the Norfolk Showground on Saturday and Sunday for the Norfolk Spectacular.
