A Norwich artist has raised over £1,700 for Norwich and Central Norfolk Mind after holding her own auction.

Emma Arnold, 41, from Norwich felt that an art auction was a good way to raise the profile of mental health issues and to highlight the services and support that are available for people living in the Norwich area.

She said: 'The night was such a great success due to the compassion and community spirt of my friends and family members who supported me and offered their experience and time.'

Sarah Ingram, the charity's fundraising manager, said: 'The art and music auction hosted by Emma Arnold was such a successful event and the incredible amount raised will go towards making sure that no one has to face a mental health problem alone in the local community.'
