A man was yesterday warned he could face jail after he admitted dangerous driving and causing grievous bodily harm to a woman and attempted grievous bodily harm to another man.

Ian Pryke, of Wymers Lane, South Walsham, who appeared at Norwich Crown Court in a wheelchair, was due to stand trial yesterday but entered his guilty pleas instead.

Pryke, 56, admitted dangerously driving his Cherokee Jeep in Wymers Lane on August 30, 2008. He also admitted attempting to cause grievous bodily harm to Stefan Crisp and causing grievous bodily harm to Rachel Pryke, both on the same date.

The case was adjourned for full pre-sentence and medical reports and he will be sentenced on February 22. Pryke was granted conditional bail.

Recorder Christopher Makin warned him: 'All sentencing options remain open to the court.'
