Nominated in the Employer of People with a Disability category, Norfolk Industries for Disabled People manufactures small animal bedding using recycled materials, and provides sub-contract packaging services to commercial customers.

The business helps people who have various barriers to employment such as disability and long term unemployment. It sells around £1.2m units of product each year.

Norfolk Industries factory manager, Sharon Tooke said: 'Everyone has something that they will excel at, we work to find that skill and develop confidence which in turn assists in the development of work skills.'

Winners from four regions will be selected in June and go through to a national final in autumn.
