Police have named the victim who died in a crash involving two cars and a motorcycle at Langham, near Holt, which also injured six people.

The victim has been identified as 81-year-old Derek Warren, the director of Garden Link Homes Ltd, a property development firm based in Fakenham.

Mr Warren lived in Hollow Lane, Langham, and his neighbours described him yesterday as a private man.

The crash took place on Monday after two cars collided head on when travelling in opposite directions down the B1156 Holt Road, and a motorcycle crashed into the debris.

Mr Warren was driving a Land Rover Freelander into the village when it collided with a black Audi A6 heading in the opposite direction at about 2.05pm.

A silver Kawasaki ZZR motorbike, carrying two people, was also travelling towards Langham on the B1156, and struck the debris from the initial crash.

Following the crash the Audi driver, a woman in her late teens from the London area, was airlifted to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with 'series injuries', while one of her passengers, a man also from the London area, suffered head and leg injuries and was reported as being in a 'critical' condition at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

A spokeswoman for Norfolk Constabulary said last night both causalities' conditions were believed not to have changed.
