A Norfolk group has made it through to the semi-finals of a national battle of the bands competition.

The Sharps have reached the semi finals of Live & Unsigned 2010, after competing against some of London's top unsigned acts at the Beck Theatre, Hayes.

The four-piece band, who are all aged between 19 and 20-years-old, played original material and a cover and were praised for their raw energy and their original number which judges said was especially strong.

The band, Darby Dorras, from Thurgaton, on guitar and vocals, drummer Sam Evans, from Felmingham, and twins Callum Morgan, bass and vocals, and Kieran Morgan, lead guitar and vocals, from Colby, are currently at University or on gap years.
