A man arrested in connection with the murder of a man in Norwich has been released and will have no further action taken against him, it has emerged.

Michael Currer, 59, who was known as Mick to his family and friends, was found dead at his home in Saffron Square, Norwich, at 7am on November 12 last year.

A Home Office post mortem examination concluded Mr Currer died as a result of severe chest and facial injuries sustained from an assault.

A man in his 50s who was previously arrested on suspicion of murder has been released with no further action.

A woman in her 40s who was also arrested on suspicion of murder has been rebailed by police until April pending further inquiries.

A third person, a man in his 40s from the Norwich area, who was arrested on suspicion of murder on February 8 has been released on bail until March 22.
