Now it feels like the New Year has properly begun. Pay Day remains a distant dream so while none of us in the office are doing backflips about the state of our finances, we are all rather excited about Mustard's re-shaped shows and schedule.

We're not even through our first full week of slimmed-down half-hour Mustard Shows, but already they are feeling much more fun and lively.

Helen McDermott has been spending a lot of time at Mustard Towers lately so maybe it's all down to her?

With The Case of the Missing Earpiece now solved, Beth Davison's been back in too – maybe she's given things a lift? Or maybe, just maybe it's all down to you…

Already this week we've welcomed a famous rock photographer, a beauty queen, a Top Gun turned money magician and a local hero who has been made an OBE.

And today we've got Norfolk's answer to Cagney and Lacey, the Harleston crime-fighting duo that is 'Brycey and Loki', with Loki being the Czechoslovakian wolfdog with a talent for sniffing out lost pets.

As well as a pet detective pooch and his amazingly lovely owner, we'll also have some super singing nuns and a true tale of true love blossoming in Norfolk at the height of the First World War.

Add in a big cat quiz tonight, Darren Eadie done up like an ewok and Helen McDermott purring like a saucy lion and you've got yourself plenty of fun-filled half-hours to kick your weekday evenings off in just the right way.

The Mustard Show may well have lost weight for the New Year but thanks to you, we're still packing plenty in. Tune in or catch up and see for yourself – you'll be glad you did, we promise.

Don't forget The Mustard Show is available to view from every weekday evening at 6.30pm Freeview Channel 8 and Virgin Channel 159.

We need you!

The people Mustard wants to see and hear more of in 2015 is… YOU.

We are nothing without our viewers and we want everyone tuning in to be much more involved in our shows.

Carol Gardener got in touch to call Darren Eadie an ewok (see the picture above).

And before you could say 'Return of the Jedi' we made her dreams a reality for last night's Mustard Show.

We love that Carol got in touch and we're grateful for all the interaction we get with all of our viewers – here's to doing much, much more with and for our viewers in 2015.

Contacting Mustard has never been easier. We're online at mustardtv.co.uk, via Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, email and yes, some people have even sent us a good old fashioned letter.

Exciting opportunities for local businesses

As well as working more closely with our viewers, we'd also love to hear from more potential partners.

Mustard offers a number of different and exciting opportunities for businesses to engage with our 96,000 monthly viewers.

And advertising on Mustard TV is much more affordable than you might think.

To find out more and join the other local businesses taking advantage of local TV advertising in Norwich and Norfolk, feel free to contact the lovely Mel Wilcockson on 01603 772 892 or via: sales@mustardtv.co.uk

Jo-Lo (not J-Lo) was our guest of the week

If there is such a thing as rock photographer royalty, we were treated to it earlier this week.

The prospect of 'J-LO' appearing on The Mustard Show had everyone excited.

But we never did find out how our sofa would cope with THAT derriere, as the J-Lo in question turned out to be 'Jo-Lo': Jo Lopez, famous photographer of rock gods like Bruce Springsteen, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Black Sabbath. He didn't disappoint.

Who needs 'Jenny from the block' when you have the man behind some truly incredible photos of The Boss?

We were blown away by his snaps and you will be too, check them out On Demand via Wednesday's Mustard Show: www.mustardtv.co.uk/show

Is City's promotion push back on track?

Come on, be honest, did you believe that Norwich City would secure a win for their new manager at the first attempt? Especially away at Bournemouth?

Before the Canaries' trip to the South Coast table-toppers, most in the Mustard office were firmly in the 'we'd be happy with a point' camp. And when Jonny Howson was sent off midway through the second half, we'd have bitten your hand off for it. But against the odds our boys in yellow and green triumphed with a stirring 2-1 victory.

Alex Neil has barely had time to find out where the Colney toilets are but he's already got the push for promotion back on track. Will he be able to maintain the momentum and what business will he do in this month's transfer window?

The 3 Up Front team will bring you all the analysis from a bumper week for Norwich City before looking ahead to this weekend's visit of Cardiff.

Be sure to tune in and tweet in if you can. Just use #3upfront to join in the conversation.
