Norwich-based photographers Bruce Lindsay and Alexandra Bone have joined together for an exciting new exhibition of their music photography work at the Maddermarket Theatre.

The show features a diverse range of artists from the music world, as captured from two different perspectives. All of the photos in the exhibition have been taken in the city, including venues such as the Norwich Arts Centre, The Waterfront, The Playhouse and The Talk.

The work stems from a life long love of music for both photographers, who met at the acclaimed Norwich music night Wombatwombat held regularly in the city.

Bruce went to his first gig almost 40 years ago, and has been documenting the work of several musicians who all have something in common - they have been performing for at least four decades.

All of the musicians in his '40 More Years' project shows that vibrant, fresh and exciting music belongs as much to their generation as it does to the teens and 20-somethings that follow in their footsteps.

This is the first selection of photos from an ongoing work, and features a group of musicians ranging from 60-year-old electronic and techno pioneer Wolfgang Flur to 93-year-old bluesman Honeyboy Edwards, as well as Norwich legend Albert Cooper - who recently celebrated his 75th birthday, jazz statesman Stan Tracey, country guitar wizard Albert Lee and more.

In contrast, Alexandra saw her first gig in 1995, and only took up music photography nearly a decade later.

Her work, titled 'Five Years of Music Photography' is simply just that. It features local act The Neutrinos, who Alexandra has worked extensively with, as well as contemporary performers from around the world - including John Peel favourite Nina Nastasia, and Tina Dico.

t Bruce and Alexandra's work can be seen at Maddermarket Theatre from Monday-Friday 10am-5pm and Saturday 10am-1pm until January 31.
