A floral fundraising appeal has been launched in Norwich, as Marie Curie Cancer Care begins its annual drive.
The Great Daffodil Appeal kicked off at The Forum yesterday, with volunteers urging people to give at least two hours of their time to help. Organisers have collections booked in various supermarkets in the area but still have many slots left to fill.
Cash raised from the Great Daffodil Appeal will help Marie Curie nurses care for people with a terminal illness in their own home so they can spend more time with the people they love. All money raised in Norfolk will go towards funding the 26 nurses working in the county.
Paul Fleet, community fundraiser for Marie Curie in Norfolk, said: 'I know the people of Norwich are fantastic at giving their support to good causes.
'We urgently need as many people as possible in the the area to help us.'
