There has been an outpouring of grief since the crash, with friends and relatives of the three who died making the trip to the site of the accident to lay flowers and pay their respects.

They included poignant messages from Kyle's family, with his grandfather saying: 'You will probably never know how much I loved you. You have left me broken hearted. What am I going to do without you?'

And today a minute's silence will be held at the Adrian Flux Arena in Saddlebow Road, King's Lynn, where Kyle raced in the junior bangers category from the end of the 2014 season until December 2015.

A statement on the website of Trackstar Racing read: 'Kyle was a popular driver with both his fellow competitors and race officials.

'He never 'played dirty' or raced foul of the rules and is fondly remembered as fair but very competitive young driver who would not move over for anyone on the track but would help anyone in the pits get back on track.

'Everyone at Trackstar is devastated to hear of Kyle's very premature passing and our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who knew Kyle and his family and friends.'

Known as 'Junior Banger Racer 130', he finished his time at the Adrian Flux Arena in style - by winning for the first time in his last race on December 6 2015.

Amy Lathan, a close friend of Kyle's, added: 'My heart and love goes to your family at such a sad time. There are so many people that are lost for words on such heartbreaking news.

'I went to work the morning after the crash and knew something wasn't right. I got home with the news of it being Kyle and his friends. I didn't know where to put myself.

'Kyle was always a message or call away if anyone needed him, he had a heart of gold.

'Many memories with him on and off the track. Sitting up all night on Facetime or talking on Snapchat, the conversations always put a smile on my face.

'Kyle loved his racing and was very determined to take the chequered flag. He always had a laugh and a joke in the pits with everyone even if something didn't go as well as he wanted it to.

'Taken far too soon! R.I.P Kyle you are missed by many. Love you forever and always racing for #130.'

Another friend, Tom Baines - known to his friends as 'Lofty' - wrote a poem in memory of Kyle. It read:

'This heartache and pain will always remain

'Not seeing you anymore just won't be the same

'Banger racing was a sport close to your heart

'Never happier than when lining up at the start.'

Tributes were also paid by teacher's at Kyle's former school yesterday.
