Norfolk's so-called Lotto Lout has re-applied for his old job as a dustman.
Binman Michael Carroll was 19 when he won 9.7m with his first-ever ticket.
He hit the headlines when he went to collect his winnings wearing an electronic offender's tag, before an eight-year splurge in which he blew the lot on drugs, women and gambling.
Yesterday a friend confirmed Mr Carroll, who lives on an estate in Downham Market, was looking for work.
