Legally Blonde the muscial comes to Norwich next month so to celebrate Life Matters shows you how to get the look of a Legally Blonde bombshell. By EMMA HARROWING.

When Reese Witherspoon starred in Legally Blonde, the movie, back in 2001 little did anyone know that the romantic comedy would make it to the stage.

Legally Blonde the musical is an award-winning Broadway sensation which will grace the boards at Norwich Theatre Royal next month. Following the exploits of college sweetheart Elle Woods, the story is about how she tries to change her life after being dumped by her boyfriend, by putting down the credit cards and picking up the books as she heads to Harvard Law School.

To celebrate the show coming to Norwich, Life Matters is thinking pink by staging a makeover with a difference.

Blonde bombshell Camilla Rowland has just finished the panto season at the Theatre Royal. As one of the dancers in Sleeping Beauty, 23-year-old Camilla is used to being under the spotlight but hasn't yet had the starring role.

Says Camilla: 'For the last two years I have been on tour with Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. In the main this is the only show I have done since graduating two years ago.

'Being part of the panto at the Theatre Royal has been fantastic. The on-stage and off-stage team here is great and it has been a lot of fun. Touring around the UK I get to see a lot of different theatres and I have to say that Norwich has one of the best.'

While she has been in panto Camilla has stayed with her dad who lives in Norwich. As she prepares to leave our fine city to return to London, Camilla has one more role to fulfill – as Elle Woods in the Life Matters Legally Blonde makeover.

Vibrant pink is one of the many acid bright colours tipped for spring and with many make-up brands featuring pink in their new collections it is easy for anyone to get the look of Elle Woods.

Here's the Life Matters guide to how to get the look.

Clothes

Elle's look is smart and sassy, but of course everything is pink. We gave House of Fraser personal shopper Lee Sinclair the task of finding an outfit that oozes Elle's style.

Says Lee: 'A classic shift dress is the easiest way to replicate the Legally Blonde look, but think pink and opt for a Fuchsia coloured one to really get the look.

'Accessories are an important part of Elle's attire as she loves fashion. Again keep to the Fuchsia palette with high heels, oversized handbag and a pink umbrella. Everything has to be pink.'

Hair

It was award-winning hairstylist Emma from Hooloovoo job to turn Camilla's straight hair into bouncy blonde waves.

Says Emma: 'Transforming straight hair into a glamorous tousled style is easy if you have the right tools.

'I'm going to prep Camilla's hair with heat protection spray and then, sectioning off her hair, start to backcomb one inch sections at the root.

'To create the curl I'm using hair straighteners and a curling wand which will create different waves and curls in her hair to give a natural looking finish.'

Makeup

Benefit is set to launch a baby pink blusher at the end of this month and Life Matters was lucky enough to get a sneak preview on this shoot.

Beth from Benefit in Debenhams shows Camilla how she can get Legally Blonde Elle's look.

For the base

Prep your skin with Triple Performing Emulsion and pat on Porefessional to eliminate pesky pores, fine lines and shine. Next, apply Hello Flawless /Some Kinda Gorgeous/You Rebel for a flawless finish.

For the cheeks

For a natural glow that is bloomin' gorgeous simply apply Posietint to the apples of your cheeks and then lips for a poppy pout.

Swirl on our new orchid blossom powder, Hervana (launched on January 28) for a heavenly blush.

For the eyes

Keep those peepers perfect with lashings of They're Real and tame brows with a brow brush. Define brows by applying Brow Zings along the natural line of your brows to give yourself an instant eye lift.

For the lips

Finish with a pout Elle Woods would be proud of with Benefit's Ultra Shine gloss, Back To The Fuchsia.

The look wouldn't be complete without the star of the show – Bruiser the Chihuahua. Although Bruiser was a short-haired Chihuahua in the film, our dog star Robbie rocks the long-haired look to bring our Legally Blonde makeover up to date.
